We provide the national Design Review Service in Wales, with an established reputation for quality, integrity, expertise and robustness. It is funded by the Welsh Government and provided free-of-charge to you with the aim of helping capture and maximise the value of good design quality.
Our independent, multi-disciplinary panel of practising professional experts discuss your development plans and proposals with you and provide constructive feedback. Available across the whole of Wales, Design Reviews are also open for attendance for professional development and training purposes – unique in the UK.

Help is available from the Design Commission for Wales, for clients at the earliest stages of projects. We may be able to help with defining your project, developing the project brief, or contributing to your procurement and team selection process. The long-term success of any project depends upon upfront engagement. We can facilitate workshops that add value and help save you time and costly changes at a later stage.

Training & CPD
Bespoke training for local authorities, town and community councils, and third sector groups is available from the Design Commission for Wales. Topics include sustainability, placemaking and assessing design. We will be happy to speak with you about your particular training needs.
