Isle of Anglesey

A quote from 'Visit Anglesey'

  • The beautiful Isle of Anglesey hugs the coast of North Wales and boasts over 100 miles of spectacular coastline within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Variety is its special attraction, all of which is easily accessible from wherever you choose to stay. Anglesey is steeped in a rich archaeological and historical heritage. It is unparalleled in its diversity of wildlife habitats from the great sea cliffs, estuaries, lagoons and dunes on the coast to the lakes, wetlands, heaths and richly mosaiced farmland of the interior.

What have we been up to in your region?

    • Workshop Meeting: on 8th July 2008 Wendy Richards met with planning committee members and senior officers at Anglesey County Council, to discuss how DCFW and the Authority could work more closely together.
    • Know Your Place: Llangefni & Holyhead The Llangefni Know Your Place workshops were held on the 19th and 20th October in the Agewell Centre at St Cyngar’s Church Hall and around the streets of Llangefni. Participants included some local planners, community workers and members of the public. In Holyhead we hit the streets with Know Your Place workshops on the 21st October. Pounding the pavements with us on our tour were local residents, councillors and traders who all helped us uncover the Holyhead highlights. A big thank you to everyone who helped promote the workshops and all those who attended and provided such fantastic drawings, photographs, stories and insights into your place.
