Design Commission for Wales

DCFW's work in championing good design throughout Wales is underpinned by a strong educational platform of activity based projects, aimed at developing greater understanding of the value of good design in the built environment.
It is vital that people of all ages and backgrounds have the opportunity to explore, understand, address, influence and effect positive change in their environment and therefore quality of life, through inclusive programmes. DCFW's framework and resource pack for primary education My Square Mile is available to download from this site. Our new programme for communities Know Your Place is in development as well as phase two of My Square Mile, aimed at secondary education.
We believe the built environment to be an outdoor classroom with inexhaustible potential as a platform for learning activity.
