An outline of the process of design review

Process

How does the Design Review session work?

  • The Design Review session lasts for one hour. You will be asked to give a 15 minute presentation of your scheme, and the remaining time will be spent in questions and discussion, with the Chair summarising the key issues at the end. Design Review is a rigorous process and in the short time available our comments and evaluation are likely to be direct, robust and incisive, but we also aim to be constructive and courteous.

  • If you would like to bring a scheme to Design Review, the first step is to 'Register for Design Review Here' from this website, complete and return the registration which gives us basic details and information about the proposal. Once we receive the completed register, the scheme will be entered onto our reserve list and you will be offered the next available date.

  • You will be asked to confirm your team's attendance at a particular date and time, and also to commit to delivering all pre-review material to the DCFW office two weeks in advance of the Panel date. Cancellation fees are charged for late cancellations, to cover administrative costs.
